The principal activity of the Organization in Uganda continued throughout the year 2011. This was the provision of food, clothes and other needs for the homeless; heath care to the poor sick; education for the young poor and skill training to the jobless.

1. EDUCATION CENTER:

Maria – Rita Junior School started in January in the city centre around Kisenyi with a total number of around 200 and through this:

• Kids and Orphans around Kisenyi, Kasato, Kakajjo and Lungujja suburbs have managed to go to school

• Maria – Rita Junior School has acted as a relief area to disadvantaged parents/single with challenges of school fees which has enabled them bring their kids school.

• It has also given a chance to those Kids who had lost hope that they will ever attend school.

2. CHILDREDS’ HOME:

We are providing a stable home and total care from education, clothing, health etc for 11 children – some of whom are orphans, some abandoned while some have no suitable guidance to care for them.

The organization has also the training unit that is mainly dealing in tailoring which has been advantageous in the following ways. 14 people were trained.

• Given Skills to our clients

• It has also been vital to the school drops-outs with challenges.

4. FEEDING,CLOTHING & HEALTH CARE:

In the society we have people who suffer because of lack of food, it’s for this reason the organization has intervened by providing at least one hot meal per day three times in a week along Ben Kiwanuka Street, Katwe, and Kisenyi.

• We fed 12,560 clients in the past one year.

• Some of clients we feed have need of clothing and with this we have also managed to give them clothes

• Some clients have also been facing challenges of fatal wounds and with our health unit we have managed to dress, treat them in various cases. 456 patients were seen to in the course of the year.

• We also do hospital visitation once a week were we locate patients with challenges and with this if possible we provide things like simple aid of food stuffs and assistance, counseling were necessary.
